Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement
At the University of Tennessee, EURēCA provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to showcase their research, scholarly work, and creative projects across a wide range of disciplines. This annual event highlights the importance of undergraduate research and fosters a collaborative academic environment where students can share their work with faculty, peers, and the broader community.
Within the Healthy Families Research Lab, participation in EURēCA is a key component of the undergraduate research experience. Students work closely with faculty mentors and research teams to develop projects that address critical issues in health, including women’s health, cardiometabolic outcomes, cancer research, and the impact of social determinants on patient outcomes. This research is student driven and through this process, students gain valuable skills in research design, data analysis, scientific writing, and professional presentation.
Presenting at EURēCA allows students to:
- Translate knowledge into real-world research applications
- Develop confidence in communicating scientific findings
- Engage with interdisciplinary perspectives
- Build a strong foundation for future careers in healthcare, research, and graduate study
For many students, EURēCA represents a meaningful milestone in their academic journey and a first step toward contributing to advancements in health research.
